Evgeniya, we seem to be on the same timeline right now. It will be interesting to see how we go along as the process continues.

Marlita, it is funny we are head to head now lol. But we are going to fall behind. My police certificate is going to be ready in a month and AOS forms aren't ready yet either. How are you doing?

Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes NVC to process fee bill payments? My lawyer sent the money orders on the 1st and according to the US Postal Service, they arrived at their end destination on the 4th... it has been 10 days already.

The automated NVC line just keeps saying that the fee bills were sent, etc... nothing about having arrived or been processed. Frustrating!

Anyone have an idea about this?

You can't really tell when the AOS fee is received or the I-864 is generated from the automatic messages, you need to talk to an operator, and then still they can be vague. For me it looks like it was 16 days. But you also paid the IV fee, and supposedly that should change the automatic message, but I don't know because I am not at that step yet. Hopefully this week! :)

Milton y Claudia, congrats on moving onwards, but I though it's best to not update your case in this table because you didn't have to go through all the steps that everyone else did, so your case would throw off the average and might give some people false hopes. (Unless I misunderstood your situation...)

I called NVC again today and they said that "a packet of information was generated on April 14, 2008 and will be sent out in the next few weeks". Kind of vague as to which packet of information was generated, but at least I know something is happening!!

Milton y Claudia, congrats on moving onwards, but I though it's best to not update your case in this table because you didn't have to go through all the steps that everyone else did, so your case would throw off the average and might give some people false hopes. (Unless I misunderstood your situation...)

DS-230 package

Did you file for K-3(I-129) and then later canceled it? I'm wondering maybe if people who filed for K-3 are getting their I-130 approved faster than CR-1 applicants but are then able to continue with the CR-1 route.

I called NVC again today and they said that "a packet of information was generated on April 14, 2008 and will be sent out in the next few weeks". Kind of vague as to which packet of information was generated, but at least I know something is happening!!

DS-230 package

Did you file for K-3(I-129) and then later canceled it? I'm wondering maybe if people who filed for K-3 are getting their I-130 approved faster than CR-1 applicants but are then able to continue with the CR-1 route.

No, I only filed for CR-1.

Since I have a lawyer, NVC skipped the DS-3032 and just sent both fee bills at the same time. Since I assume they were processed at the same time, shouldn't they be sending the 1-864 at the same time as the DS-230?

I guess I will have to call to find out what they have sent out.

Hi, I have emailed my DS-3032 on April 10th, today I got this automatic email from NVC. I have resubmitted the info again today. Should I just ask my husband to call and ask them if they got my DS-3032?

Please be advised, as of April 4, 2008 our office has revised our

guidelines for communication between the National Visa Center and the

public. We are now required to verify case information each time we

receive an inquiry.

According to U.S. law, the National Visa Center is only permitted to

discuss details of a visa case with authorized representatives and when

provided with all of the following information:

NVC case number or CIS receipt number

Petitioner's name and date of birth

Beneficiary's name and date of birth

Your full name

If you are the legal representative, please include a copy of your

signed G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or

Representative, showing that you are the legal representative as well

as

the following information:

NVC case number or CIS receipt number

Petitioner's name and date of birth or Beneficiary's name and date of

birth

Attorney's law firm name

Attorney's law firm address

Your full name

If you are corresponding regarding an I-140 petition you must provide

the following information:
