I'm so glad I called today, I wasn't going to after hearing the message yesterday but I did and it had changed!!!!! We're finally out of the NVC and on to the embassy! God I hope they mail the stuff off on Friday................. :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

WOW!! Congratulations to you two!! Excellent news Geist. :thumbs: I think ours would have been completed by now as well if I hadn't missed writing 'present' in two of the date lines on the DS-230 - anyway the correction is heading back overnight tonight so hopefully ours will be done soon too.

Sending out an RFE for missing the word "PRESENT" is so trivial :( Bureaucrats suck!

What is the normal timeframe for the consulate to schedule an interview for you guys?

No idea. The consulate in Helsinki is not that busy--when we emailed to get an appointment for me to get an affidavit to say I'm not married (required for foreigners marrying in Finland) so we could get married, it took us like 2 days to get an appointment scheduled. Hopefully we'll have one scheduled quickly though :)

Feb 4,2007 - I-130 accepted > Get USCIS case Number NOA1.

May 8 ,2007- GET NVC Case Number > NOA2.

June 16 ,2007- Get Order from NVC to pay 70$.

July 2 ,2007- Get DS-3032 in India.

July 7,2007 - DS-3032 choice of address agent entered in NVC.

July 14 ,2007- Get I-864.

July 18 ,2007- I-864 Enters NVC.

July 29 ,2007- Get Order to Pay 380$ fee.

Aug 3 ,2007- 380$ Fee Reached St Louis.

Aug 25,2007 - NVC & St Louis People receive photocopy of my payment with USPS receipt.

After WAITING for 37 days.

Sept 10,2007 - 380$ fee encashed.

My DS-230 was generated on 09/24/2007. One last step until we get to the limbo of waiting for an interview.

I have all the additional paperwork to go with the DS230, since Montreal is an appointment post, except...hubby forgot to sign the police certificate! {sigh} Thank goodness for speedy mail. ;)

LadyJane - Your husband had to sign his police certificate? Like the copy you are actually sending to NVC? My Husband's didn't have a place to sign - what kind of cert is it, RCMP or Police?
