...I know that when they say that it's supposed to mean that they have processed our AOS and the "missing info" is our DS230. However, according to my husband, it did also say that they were going to send a letter to us about the missing info. Do you think it mean that it is not just DS 230 that we're missing, but it is an acutal REF? ...

Don't worry. The message about them having sent you a letter regarding the missing information is normal procedure when the DS-230 hasn't been entered into your case file yet. If you call the NVC information line, the operator will tell you to ignore this letter if you have mailed the DS-230 already.

ME , stabu and Geist seem to be in the same boat... NVC hasnt encashed the payment of 380$ and Ds-230 is yet to generate.

Any one else with us who are being elongated by ST LOUIS and NVC.

Feb 4,2007 - I-130 accepted > Get USCIS case Number NOA1.

May 8 ,2007- GET NVC Case Number > NOA2.

June 16 ,2007- Get Order from NVC to pay 70$.

July 2 ,2007- Get DS-3032 in India.

July 7,2007 - DS-3032 choice of address agent entered in NVC.

July 14 ,2007- Get I-864.

July 18 ,2007- I-864 Enters NVC.

July 29 ,2007- Get Order to Pay 380$ fee.

Aug 3 ,2007- 380$ Fee Reached St Louis.

We're finally sending off the DS-230 and the I-864 today..

Should I do some changes to your timeline on this thread? In general we've agreed on that the first part is for DS-3020/I-864 generated, the second is for IV bill received but we haven't really agreed on what the DS-230 stands for, so I just tend to put there what ever dates are avail (mostly it has become the generated date but I'm not sure if it's the most usefull, it depdens wether one want's to know the temporal difference between IV received and DS-230 generated or between DS-230 sent and NVC Complete).

We're finally sending off the DS-230 and the I-864 today..

I like DS-230 sent by NVC and NVC complete, personally. There is variance between when people get the DS-230 and when they send it back, there is also a variance, depending on where you live (ie: posting time), however if we use the NVC sent and NVC complete dates at least there is some type of consistancy there?

Then again it still depends on when the person sends it back. haha

Receiving this email does not mean anything to me when you have sent in the payment as soon as you got the bill; and according from your records, was received on August 3rd. I will still continue to follow-up about the $380 payment every single day. Still, be patient no matter how frustrating the situation may be.

I got reply from NVC for my email after good old 15 days. This what they have to say

Please follow the instructions received with your Immigrant Visa fee

bill and mail the payment to:

National Visa Center

PO Box 790136

St. Louis, MO 63179-0136

Please make sure all cashier's checks or money orders are made payable

to the Department of State.

Unfortunately, the fee payment about which you have inquired has not

yet been credited to the case. Please allow 25-30 business days for the

fee payment to be reconciled with the case.

i can't get my head around this whole process... I still don't know the acronyms and form numbers and what they actually mean in the whole thing but I'm pretty sure we belong to this group.

we sent the i-130 back in november 06, they got it a week later, I have a notice of action with a WAC number (is that NOA2? - I don't even know...) we sent off the affidavit of support form with the DS230s early July, 07 then they sent us that we are missing some info (which we didn't - they just didn't bother to read the letter we attached about how my wife wasn't living and working in the US in 2006 therefore has no tax return for that year).

right now we are waiting on the NVC to let us know the embassy has all our stuff... not sure how long will it still be, but I'm starting to get edgy... my wife is returning to the states in October, and I would love to join her. I hope the interview will be before that.

can we know from this table which consulate or office we are dealing with? anyone else London bound?
