NVC timeline on IR-1/CR1 visas

To be a bit more clear, the NVC told me that there was nothing they could do, but I needed to call the bank and get them to track it and see if it had been cashed (even though the operator admitted that it's not like it would be cashed and not updated in their system). Then I asked her that if it was lost, what should I do? Resubmit the fee? And she said yes. I then asked her about the cover sheet, of which I did not make a copy before sending off and she said they could send me another.

So we'll wait. On Friday (which is also conveniently payday!) I'll get another money order and send it off wehn I get the new cover sheet. And then I'll cancel payment on the first one and hopefully get the money back.

I am in the same boast as you all are.. mine is california service centre... ia m going to take up the NVC now.. no matter if it gets delayed.. where the hell did my first payment go... why shall i cancel my first payment and then again send second one.. there my wife shouts on me.. i wont pay 34$ charges and all charges which will run upto 80 $ again .... i am so mad on my wife, my destiny and luck and OFCOURSE NVC>.... This should be up to date now. The NVC still hasn't cashed our check. I think that they are fairly crowded currently. They told my wife today that they will "maybe do something regarding our case next week". Err... yay... they've had our check now for 21 days (15 business days) so they should have done something to it by now. We where really hoping for a quick processing and thus have filed off everything immediately (and used shortcuts) when we've got the info from NVC. It's been over a year now since we tried to obtain a visa for the first time and if things continue the current pace I can move to NH around early December .

As far as your timeline is concerned, your I-130 has yet to be adjudicated.

I don't think that the NOA2 question is very important anyway. It's fairly clear that Jigi has had a NOA2 from CSC. It may just be in the post or what not. This has happened so many times perviously in here that it's not really surpricing. It's clear that he is equally far in the NVC process than me and Geist are.

Hello,

My husband called the automated line at NVC today and got the message that there is some missing info. I know that when they say that it's supposed to mean that they have processed our AOS and the "missing info" is our DS230. However, according to my husband, it did also say that they were going to send a letter to us about the missing info. Do you think it mean that it is not just DS 230 that we're missing, but it is an acutal REF? What does it say if they have processed AOS and have actually sent out our DS 230 form? Would it say so in the recording ("We have sent out the DS 230 form on this date") as well as having missing information?

Choice of Agent and AOS bill sent out by NVC 06/25/07 (received 07/03/07) -- took a long time because NVC assigned us a case number with a wrong embassy so we had to have that straightened out.

IV bill received 08/13/07

DS 230 form still waiting
