Hey everybody. I hope you're all staying safe and healthy.

This isn't really a question that relates to Visa policies during COVID. I'm just curious if there is anyone else out there who's serving on the COVID frontlines and has also seen their visa process come to a halt.

Currently, I'm serving as a nurse in the US. My fiancé is in the UK, and his interview has been put on hold with everything that is happening. It's been really hard. I never imagined I'd be in a scenario where something is impacting my work life, and yet also keeping my fiancé from me. It's bizarre. We're hoping to get his interview done as soon as the US embassy in London opens back up. By that point, air travel restrictions should hopefully be ended too. We both just want the COVID crisis to be over.

Is there anyone else in the boat of being both a frontliner and having their visa process at a halt? If you are, what's your story?

Hey, I'm an ICU Nurse in the UK and currently awaiting our CR1 visa. I'm not going to lie. It's pretty ####### not having your loved one with you when you are going through so much. I am constantly off loading on him truly how difficult this is. However, silver lining is, with each and every passing day we are one step closer for this madness to end and another step closer in reuniting with our loved one.

It feels like I'm in a movie... A month ago, I had just returned from a visit in seeing my husband, and awaiting a longer month long visit in June. Now it's just hard to get through a day. However, I couldn't see myself doing anything else, it's my duty to serve in the front line (just want appropriate PPE!). Hang in there, we'll get through it!

As for my personal story- we had been together for a decade and only married end of last year as we felt "ready" lol. I was trying to plan starting to have a baby amongst the visa process but now we have to add this COVID madness into the mix.

Did you guys have a date when you wanted to get married or a range? Keep positive. We have something beautiful to look forward to.
