The mayor of coronavirus-plagued New Orleans took a shot at Trump, saying the city would have canceled Mardi Gras if the federal government had taken the outbreak seriously

Everyone underestimated it really. Screening only for symptoms is the biggest reason this became a pandemic instead of being contained as an epidemic. I would like to find out who made the assumption that this virus could not be spread asymptomatically and why they jumped to that. They could have stopped a lot of grief if they would have screened and/or tested and quarantined everyone coming back from affected areas in China at the time.

I just came back from essential Supermarket trip, so how do you do the 6ft when the aisle is less than that?

Anyway I can confirm that the 4 Pot Shops I passed were all open and doing business. I did not go past any Car Dealers so am unable to comment.

I am glad essential services are going strong.

Pretty funny that this is boiled down to ignorance when they're literally peddling Chinese propaganda.

I raise you this:

Go about your daily lives! There's no chance of it spreading through casual contact, just the people you live with!

Meanwhile, orange man bad.

I got a lefty homosexual rabid democrat friend on FB. Always on a rant about Trump. He posted today the networks should not air his daily briefings on the corona virus.

Odd thing is, he is a real estate professional.  I don't think that is very smart for a person in sales.

Not surprising, shutting things down is how the left cope with dissenting opinions (that are more desirable than their own), and corporate America has no problem placating to this authoritarian behavior. Alas, even though this woke partnership has significant sway, it won't dictate elections, so, they'll have to contend with another 4 years of Trump. More people are learning the idiocy of bending the knee.

From mid march.  Trump’s fault or just stupid irresponsible behavior that should be shouldered by those practicing it?

”We partied but now we need ventilators and it’s Trump’s fault we don’t have enough”

We were working from home by St Paddy’s day.

This is a blog posting from a few party hardy types and not reflective of what the mayor and governor have been saying all along.

Correct sir.  76,000 COV cases (are) reflective of what the mayor and governor (and governor’s infected brother, guess he can’t stay-at-home either) have been saying all along.

I'm pretty sure the WHO collects aggregate data and verifies with their own teams. It's worth reading the WHO's joint report on China. It's a PDF download. Outlines what they did, when they were on the ground in China and what the knowledge gaps are.

    https://www.who.int/publications-detail/report-of-the-who-china-joint-mission-on-coronavirus-disease-2019-(covid-19)

There's some interesting information in there that I haven't really come across anywhere else. I can see why the WHO was a step ahead of the CDC on this.
