So it means if i am applying for interview at UAE embassy , i have to get from here only.. right ? thanks.

Hi, wonder if you are still here. Did you need it for the UAE embassy? Anybody else from Pakistan who has had their interview in UAE recently?

Its pretty clear they dont need it for Pakistan, but I wonder if that changes if the interview is outside the country. I've lived in Dubai for 4 of the last 5 years and gotten the police certificate from here already.

If it is available then yes.  Always check the reciprocity table on the NVC website.

And please dont dig up 2 year old threads.

I checked that, for Pakistan its not needed, but Im I wont be interviewing at the Pakistan embassy so just though to ask a person who seems to have been in the same position as me i.e. from Pakistan but interviewing in Abu Dhabi.

Sheesh, thought digging up old but relevant threads might be preferable to starting a bunch of similar ones. But thanks anyway Ill keep that in mind.

People don't stay, so you're asking a question from a member that likely isn't here anymore.

Regardless of where you interview, the Pakistan police check is not needed.  It wouldn't matter if you interviewed in UAE, Canada, Phillipines, UK etc.. The US Embassies and consulates have the same rules for basic info like a police certificate.

Digging up an old thread and responding to someone who hasn't been on VJ for almost a year would tell me that there's a very slim chance I will get an answer from them. So maybe I would begin my own thread and ask a question and you will get more updated information.

Was doing a search man this came up and I thought it might be worth a shot taking 20 seconds to check with the guy. I've started a thread only to have it moved to the middle east forum or something with next to no traffic and thus zero responses. Anyway like I said point taken, didnt realize this was such a sensitive issue :D

It's not a sensitive issue. It has to do with VJ etiquette which helps the website from getting to become a hodge podge of junk. Your making more out of this then needed. Cheers mate!
