I know that I getting ahead of myself, but here goes... We have our AOS interview tomorrow morning and are anticipating success. Does anyone have experience travelling to Canada on a I-551 stamp? We want to visit friends up there that we haven't seen in awhile and are too impatient to wait on the actual green card. We would be crossing at Niagara Falls. Any input would be appreciated.

No longer in the hands of the USCIS, for my wife at least, next up MIL.

Most USCIS offices are not issuing the I-551 stamp in passports anymore. I got one in my passport at the time of my AOS interview, but by the time my daughter had her AOS interview (Feb. 2006), they were not stamping passports anymore. She had to wait for her GC to arrive. It only took 7 days for the card to arrive in the mail.

I had no problems re-entering the US from Canada with my I-551 stamp (before my GC arrived).

Good luck at your interview, by the way!!!!
