I sent my package to the Dallas center on Thursday and it arrived today and I guess because they are closed it went back to the post office? Now tracking says available for pickup. #######. USCIS isn’t going to pick this up.

I will go to my local post office Monday to ask but wondering if anyone here has any insight to calm my nerves before then :(

You know the Federal government is on reduced manning right now right? That means it will take a little longer for things but they will get done. So don't worry. Only worry if it's been at least 4 weeks without receiving the NOA1.

I guess I am worried that it will just sit at the post office and USCIS will not pick it up. Regardless of manning. Because I’m not sure they follow those notices like we do. I’ve had them before like when they try to deliver something and I’m not home then I need to go to the post office to pick it up. But does USCIS do that or will my packet just sit there?

thanks for the replies. USCIS and USPS lost our first green card, neither took responsibility, resulting in a ton of money, time, and stress. so maybe you can understand why i was concerned about this "available for pickup" status. anyway it was delivered on monday.
