Looks like another non-plaintiffs saved some money on not being part of the lawsuit.

The embassies are moving along.

The destruction of reason has seen the triumph of ignorance.

In Mexico we only got our interviews scheduled because of the lawsuit.  So maybe some countries don't need it but many do.

"The embassies are moving along" is also a blatant lie because some of the embassies have literally told us that they're not allowed to move along.

Yeah it looks like Moscow embassy has basically done nothing since March and there's no end in sight

So you have to sue in order to get anything done these days? Wow

Well, no. But they found internal DOS communication that said that they were putting K1 visas at the lowest priority. After looking into it further, it turned out that they weren't working on them at all in proclamation countries.

They can't just stop immigration whenever they want for whatever reason they choose, which is reflected in the massive amounts of immigration related lawsuits that the US government has lost over the last few years.

They could've tried immigration reform but instead he just signed a bunch of Executive Orders to attack immigration, which isn't how this works, and which opened him up to a massive amount of lawsuits that they mostly lost, especially over the past year.

Update:  Had our interview on December 15 and were told we were approved, CEAC now shows "Issued" status, and the UPS tracking says that my fiance will get the visa tomorrow. (the embassy actually emailed and called us right after the judge's order and asked us when we would like to come for our interview, offering us any week we desired - although they are only doing such interviews on Monday and Tuesday each week.)

Warsaw embassy personnel told us they are only processing the cases of plaintiffs in the lawsuit.  They were very helpful to us and made the interview scheduling, paperwork and visit to the embassy very easy.

My fiancee had her interview Thursday and has visa in hand as of yesterday! That has to be some kind of record.

Congratulations.

Do not sell your house, car, or property, resign from your job, or make non-refundable flight or other travel arrangements until you have received your immigrant visa and you have checked over the visa to be sure there isn't any spelling errors. If there are any errors, contact the Embassy for further instructions. Keep the "do not open" pouch in the plastic and stowed away in her carryon luggage. Luggage does get lost and without the "do not open" packet it will be a difficult problem for her at immigration once she arrives at her POE. Safe travels to both of you.

She arrived two weeks ago 😊. Arrival was very smooth... too smooth... The customs officer in Chicago stamped her passport and let her through without ever taking or checking her K-1 packet. We knew they needed it, so we found another customs officer to give the packet to. He said, "Good that you brought this! I'll take care of it. I don't know why he didn't take it when he checked your passport." 🤣 Regardless, we got her I-94 online within a couple of days, got our marriage license, will marry in February, and apply for her SSN and AoS.

Good job! BTW, it's better to get the SSN number in her maiden name so it can be used for the comingling of assets for proof of your relationship to the banks etc. Otherwise, you will have a long wait to get it after marriage as there are other forms that come into play that you will not have in your possession that SS will be asking for. There is a thread that speaks directly to the SSN process here on VJ.
