After all of these months, her interview is scheduled for a week from today! We are not plaintiffs in the Milligan vs. Pompeo case. Despite what their website says, Moldova has resumed K-1 processing.

Awesome!! So I guess they don't update their websites accurately? This gives me hope that maybe some K1 will be able to start getting interviews in Russia despite what the website says

I look at this a little differently. These are "people" (embassy personnel) who are in front of thousands of individuals who may or may not have the virus. They are front line, much different from you as you are faced with helping those who do have the virus and I thank you for your commitment, so they are in danger also. Until the world gets a grip on this virus, we will continue to be faced with obstacles that we never had to deal with pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Keep strong and don't look down on others as their story is different from yours and they are just as worried about coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as you or I. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

The consular officer flat out told me that they weren't allowed to work on cases, asked me how we found out about the lawsuit and then told me it was a good thing that we joined because they had about 30 cases sitting there that they weren't allowed to work on, even though they really wanted to.

The virus is bad, but this particular problem isn't because of the virus. It's because Department of State told them to stop processing K1s. If you're in a proclamation country, you're not going to get processed until there's a new administration unless you're a plaintiff in the lawsuit.

You can look at it however you want, but when the people actually working there are telling us this, you're clearly wrong about it. It's because of the current administration, not the virus.

Thank you for expressing your findings and opinion. I will stick with my summation of the situation until such time as there is undisputable information that will change my mind. Each embassy is different, each country is different and each community that the embassy resides in all have their way of addressing the concerns of the pandemic. What is true for one embassy may not necessarily be true for another. There are people in other embassy's that are getting visas, so it has not stopped for all. We have experienced different embassies who are interrupting the proclamation differently as well as DOS guidelines.

@sl1pstream  Out of many here on VJ there are three who either have had their interview, their visa issued or have been notified to begin the next steps in preparation for an interview. Facts. Others that have made it to the US and ALL were not part of the lawsuit.

My findings? That's literally what the consular officer has told me and what the government lawyer in the actual hearing about this said too. Are you seriously going to pretend that your "findings" are more accurate than what both government lawyers and consular officers say? Changing to ready doesn't mean anything since a lot of us have changed to ready months ago while still having to wait. Using non-proclamation countries doesn't work either since those don't even apply to the situation.

You're contradicting both the government lawyer and the government worker who's specific job is to process things and then giving examples that aren't even related to what I said. You could just say that you don't know instead and that would be fine. You're obviously just making things up and you should stop that. Again, both the government lawyer in the case during the actual hearing about the case said they were only processing plaintiffs and the consular officer has said they're only processing plaintiffs. While that might change in the future. That's literally the only official information there is, dude. Stop making stuff up to seem smarter than you are. You've been out of this for almost a decade, it's okay to not know something. Stop spreading misinformation about it.

There have been some people in Dublin who have been getting letters, but it's just Dublin. Just like the only one that was processing earlier this year was Switzerland. General DOS policy is still to not process K1 cases. Which we know because the government has told us so. Officially. In a courtroom. And while interviewing at the actual embassy. Not because of some random "findings".

They are processing visa at select embassies. People are getting visas from all over the world. I'll stick with what I believe, and you can do the same with your thoughts. We just don't agree. Nothing wrong with that. Just life. I will no longer reply to this topic as to me it's dead. I hope you find your path forward is easier than it has been. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

My fiancee has her interview in Moldova tomorrow. They were permitted to resume processing in December.

Dude. The proclamation countries aren't processing visas. According to the government. "All over the world", yes, but not in proclamation countries. How are you not getting this? There's no "oh we don't disagree" here. It's literally the government's stance on this. We know this because they literally said that it's their stance. How is this even a thing you're arguing over in the first place?

Looks like another non-plaintiffs saved some money on not being part of the lawsuit.

The embassies are moving along.

Bolivia and Dominican Republic aren't proclamation countries. My point was that they're not processing in proclamation countries. The only proclamation country you've linked to so far was Ireland that said that they couldn't actually issue the visa because of the proclamation.

Just stop, it's getting embarrassing. What the hell was that quote even for?
