Dang my NOA2 date is the same and also from the Cali Service Center. Still no record of receipt from the NVC. I hope they didn't lose my packet.

There isn't a receipt notice forthcoming from NVC. They do not send receipt notices. The only notice you will get from NVC is to inform you of two things. Your case number and your file has shipped out. Nothing more. Read the PDF on the first page first post for more details on this process.

Yep aware of that. I have called in to the number on the PDF and they have no case number yet. It has been 7 weeks and they've told me it's not in the system yet. Asked me to e-mail nvcresearch @ state to see if the packet got lost.

Trust the process! I know a thing or two because I have seen a thing or two!

Nope! Go to the first page of this thread and download the PDF. At the very top it will give you step by step instructions on what to do NEXT.

Hi there!

We received out NOA2 by end of April, and we were just waiting & waiting.. being very respectful of NVC's website instruction stating "just send us an email and please don't call us". Now I realize that despite the information on the website on NVC people still call to get informations... So is it safe to go that direction and get our informations rather than..waiting ?

Knowing that I see that people starts to get reschedule for the K1 visa interview in Paris Ambassy, we are getting quite excited ^^

If anyone has some details on packets and/or documents needed for Paris Ambassy (a P3?!) I would love to see it ^_^

With each governmental agency being short staffed it's hard for them to entertain the number of phone calls that once were coming into the call center. Yes, people are still calling to get their case number but prior to the pandemic you could save time by getting your case number and then working on what needed to be done from your embassy's P3. Now it can't speed anything up because you can schedule an interview or complete the medical in MOST embassies. As a courtesy for others with more pressing issues if you can avoid the phone call to NVC then it would be much appreciated.

From your request for a P3 I conclude that you haven't downloaded the PDF on the first page of this thread where in it I opine that you should ask Greenbaum for your P3 because he has most of them. So here you have it. BTW an excellent source of information is on your embassy's website. I'd recommend the time to investigate there so you don't miss anything.

If the appointment is past your NOA2 expiration date you must bring a letter requesting an extension from the petitioner on the day of the interview + updated intent to marry from both of you.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Hi! Is it a concern that our NOA2 expiring soon?  July 25th 2020 to be exact. My case is currently at the NVC stage, and the status is still “At NVC”. Don’t think I’ll the embassy in my country is processing K1 visa anytime soon even though my country is not in lock down anymore.

Is there anything I can do right now? (Have already filled DS160). Or is there anyone or department that I should inform that my NOA2 is expiring soon?

A fiancé visa must be issued within four months from the date of approval of the fiancé petition by USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services). If your appointment is later then the validity date, bring a signed and dated letter from your U.S. fiancé(e) stating that you both remain legally free to marry and that you intend to get married within 90 days of your arrival. E-mail or copies are acceptable.

9 FAM 41.81 N6.2 Validity of a K-1 Petition
(CT:VISA-2165; 08-21-2014)

An approved K-1 visa petition is valid for a period of four months from the date of USCIS action and may be revalidated by the consular officer any number of times for additional periods of four months from the date of revalidation, provided the officer concludes that the petitioner and the beneficiary remain legally free to marry and continue to intend to marry each other within 90 days after the beneficiary's admission into the United States.

So will it be updated automatically due to covid? Or do I have to email someone to extend my petition?

Sorry, just want to make sure im clear, so I just have to bring a signed and dated letter from your U.S. fiancé(e) stating that you both remain legally free to marry and that you intend to get married within 90 days of your arrival during my internet? That's all?

OR do I have to send an email to embassy to extend my petition?

Sorry, all these waiting and uncertainty are giving me anxiety. The more I read things on the forum , the more confused I get. :(

I understand @Greenbaum, I appreciate you and you’ve been very helpful. Just want to make sure if I need to send any emails to the embassy to extend my petition or do I just need to bring a letter (like you mentioned above) to my interview. Sorry, typo in my previous reply.

My goal is to give you factual or "boots on the ground" information. I am reaching almost 11,000 replies in helping people. They wouldn't allow me to be a member if I were consistently giving erroneous information or straight out lying to people. I have better things to do with my time. You are chasing your tail in a circle when you read all over the place. Find an expert that you are comfortable with and ask the individual your question.

Hi @Greenbaum

Thank you for those informations, I told my fiancée that we would just wait for NVC to be "officially" back before doing anything, and go with the flow... waiting is annoying but part of the game in that stage, that will make even more amazing in the end :)

I found the P3 informations but obviously not as much as you just provided me! I will make sure to come back to you if I find something is not up to date when i'll get the official P3. It's all for giving back & help when i can.

And i had no clue about what to do for the NOA2 expiration (which is set on August 23... ) and from what i've seen on the "French/American wedding" Facebook group, US ambassy in Paris is rescheduling previous interviews, and some got reschedule in September soooo, it's gonna be expired for sure ^^

Again, thank you for all the informations, i'll keep you updated if i find anything different in my P3 packet when i recieve it.
