I called NVC and got my case and invoice ID number. I recommend that you call between 07:30 - 09:30 EST. We also started the DS-160.

@Greenbaum would you please forward the P3 for Cairo-Egypt if you have it? I appreciate your help and hard work.

Thanks for your appreciation.

@Greenbaum I just received our I-797 Notice of action in the mail. At  the top of my fiance's name (Beneficiary)  there's a set of 9 numbers that start with A. What is it used for ? is that what is refereed to as A number?

Yes, that is the "A" number sometimes referred to as the "alien number". It's not used for much, but you do want to make note of it as it will be asked for later when you get into AOS and such.

I looked online today and saw that we were approved (NOA2) on April 22!

(we haven't received electronic or mail confirmation as of yet, but then we didn't get electronic for NOA1 either - despite sending the Form G-1145 - and the mail didn't show up for 12 days after the date received listed on the NOA1...so I am not worried about not having the actual letter in hand yet...should be along by May 4 or so based on prior experience).

Our NOA1 said received in Texas on January 24.

So 89 days...not bad!

Now for the "interesting part" in covid times.  Normally - from looking at the timelines herein - our Embassy (Warsaw) has been about 6 weeks to issue the package/letter to the beneficiary after NOA2, and then only 6 weeks to interview, so a total of 12 weeks from NOA2 to Visa in hand...

You are amazing, thank you so much.  What you do for all of us here is beyond words, this is a very difficult and stressful process (its a bureaucratic quagmire of course, so as expected) and your help makes it so well organized and easy to get thru.  A heartfelt and sincere "thank you" from Anna and I.

We just got the official I-797 in the mailbox since I posted above.  So its real :-)

I also saw from another member here that she got an email from the Warsaw Embassy stating that they are treating K-1's as "non-immigrant" visas under Trumps EO, so they only had 2 caveats for her (1. that there is the schengen travel ban to the USA, and 2. that the embassy's worldwide are not processing routine visas at the moment).  So, only 2 reasons for delays at the moment, but not the "killer" EO one.  Interesting times we are in...

I think the only way we can be sure about this K1 thing is to wait till Embassies and Consulates reopen....for now we just do all we are required to do to keep our case moving on

Any of us who are alive today are experiencing something that will be read in history books to come, just as we read other major calamities before our time. Thanks for your gratitude, it's much appreciated.  Good luck on your journey and stay engaged.

@David and Anna thanks for that info! Would you mind linking to the post with that email from Warsaw embassy? That is very encouraging news

with the caveat that this is from only 1 embassy (Warsaw) and we know of at least 1 embassy that is interpreting the EO as the opposite (Jamaica), here is her post:

Does not matter anyway... The COVID lockdown might even outlast the EO.
