Hi everyone,

Just want to know if any of the April I-129F petition filers have been approved ?! I know that it is a little soon for having approval expectation for our petitions but there are always some lucky ones ! 🤩

Well they into Feb and will start on March. Since April is behind March and Feb you can pretty much bet you a month or so away from a NO2. Just saying

I think I’m one of the earliest applicants and My predicted time frame is end of august early September to hear something back according to this web site.

If you go to the Immigration Timelines menu, then K1 Fiance Visa Timelines (taking you here: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?op1=3&op2=&op3=1&op4=1&op5=&op6=All) and then sort descending by NOA2 date, you'll see what activity there is for people who keep their timelines updated.  I haven't seen one with a March NOA1 date, yet (except one on there that looks rather dubious - stating 3/30 NOA1 yet their timeline shows a 2/15 mailing date - comment on that timeline indicates they had a name misspelled on the first NOA1 they received).

For now there are no approvals for March and April filers. Just keep being patient, prayerful and hopeful for the best.

Hello, we filed on Apr 29 and are waiting for an approval. In the meantime, does anyone have any info on when we can change our consulate location? We had filed with India, but based on the current situation, we would like to change it to UAE. Does this need to be done only after approval, when it comes to NVC? Appreciate any info :)

Two factors you must take into consideration. First one is are you a resident of UAE for more than six months? Second, can you wait an additional 2-3 months that this transfer may take? Then.....

If your case file resides at on embassy and you want to transfer it from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, you contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and submit Form DS-3098 for case transfer. Click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process. (Expect up to a 30+ day delay)

Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee if you have paid it prior to the decision of transferring your case to your new embassy. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.

If your case goes from embassy to embassy, then NO you don't get a new case number. The case number will begin with original alpha nomenclature i.e.. AAAXXXXXXXXXX. If her case comes from NVC then you will have a case number starting with the embassy that you will interview in. To make your payment using your old embassy's case number you establish your profile with that case number then you link your payment to your profile.

If your case has not arrived at NVC then wait till it does and that is where you make your request. It can be done by phone and you may be given follow-up instructions. Good luck and stay engaged.

@Greenbaum thank you for the quick response! I am a resident of the UAE for the past 5 years. We are yet to receive our NOA2 and from you response I understand that once we get the approval and the case goes to NVC, we will have an opportunity to change the embassy location at that point right? Any idea if this would add to our timeline or would not as we are making the change at NVC before the file moves to any embassy? Thanks in advance.

Once your file hits NVC is the time to request a consulate change. Some have done this and have been successful because the file is not moving till the embassy opens, so it gives you a chance to "catch" the file before it is sent.

Hi guys, I submitted my I 129f back in the beginning of April and now we're in month 5 of no response yet. I decided to look up the timeline and it shows the 5-7 month estimate for K3 and K4 visas but I don't know if this estimate also includes K1 visas as well. Am I missing something? Perhaps I'm not reading it correctly? I've attached the screenshot for clarity.

That's the exact link that I used to get to where I was originally and it still only shows the k3/k4 visa processing times. Is there something I'm missing? It's showing the same thing that can be seen in the screenshot I posted.
