You send NOTHING to NVC. Every document that is required will be in your P3 letter from the embassy or could be found on their website. Go check and see what you can find there. The embassy is where you will submit your evidence and documents.

Sorry but I don't know what the P3 letter is!
So I should check it, I Appreciate your help. 🙏

I have heard some cases have been approved in 2 months ! Do you think it depends on petitioner’s career and those who have strong and clear background can be approved sooner than others ?!

No one knows why cases are approved in two months. Most who are approved in two months are expedited cases which are few. Some are military who are leaving for deployment. You must look at the entire picture not just the fact the approvals are being made in two months and hence you should expect yours to be the same.

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Good luck on your journey

NOA 1 on April 11.

Once I mailed in the package, I realized that I did not fill out Question 54: How I met my fiancé. I did end up mailing in a supplement package as this forum recommended, as well as sending in a typographic error correction online. Really hoping that that was added onto my package. Otherwise, hoping to get an RFE, at best. Praying to God that we don't wait all this time just to see a denial, and having to start over again.

Also, my Intent to Marry form reads something like:

"I, Petitioner, intend to marry Beneficiary within 90 days..."

Sincerely,

Petitioner Name               Beneficiary Name

Signature                           Signature

I noticed that people usually send in two forms, one from beneficiary, one from petitioner. I just sent one. Hope this can be fixed with an RFE at worst as well.

At God's mercy here! Hope all goes well for everyone!

You don’t have to send 2 letters of intent. Since the one you sent was signed by both the petitioner and beneficiary you are good.

Receiving an RFE is like getting a "do over card". You only must do over what is asked not the entire process. If you get an RFE or an approval, then you are safe for this stage. Most who apply are approved so a denial for what you have explained will not be forthcoming. So, no worries there.

I have seen some that have done the letter of intent both ways, one letter both signatures, and two letters signed by both and the one that is signed by both is the one that gets and RFE BUT I have seen those with one letter go on to approval without an RFE. So, we just never know what to advise as each IO can interrupt what they are looking for individually.

I wouldn't worry if it were me. It sounds like you have taken every step to having a very presentable and factual application. Good luck and stay engaged.

What concerns me is that the letter is one sided: "I (the petitioner) am legally able and intend to marry (the beneficiary) within 90 days". For this I think the RFE would fix it no problems. Plus, I should have a wedding ring receipt at that point, so I'd have more info that I can give them if an RFE is to happen. However, there is also a chance that what I sent will work. Never know :)

Thank you for the warm words. I'm setting my standards extremely low. I normally have high attention to detail, so the part with Q54 really caught me off guard, the fact that I just put "N/A" for it. Like I mentioned, I sent in a supplement package with that part fixed. Hopefully it gets added to my petition. Otherwise, the hopes are that this can be fixed with an RFE, and the USCIS agent doesn't just throw out our petition as "they didn't take this seriously enough" type of thing.

Praying!

Again, exceedingly rare they "throw-out" an application because it is missing some item. If they are sending an RFE, normally the IO has made their decision and with your additional information that helps them make sure all the dots are connected before the final decision.

For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together. Good luck because this is a long process currently running 5-6 months from filing date for your NOA2 approval.

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/K1_Process_V11.pdf

Also, since your application will go through several background checks, this is a primer on what goes on with the background process.

I know it sucks, but the best way to get through this is to lower your expectations and try not to compare your timeline to anyone else's. Don't forget that the people here on Visa Journey represent a tiny percentage of all the petitions the CSC has to work through! When someone gets to your file, you'll hear from them. Stay busy, talk a lot with your fiancé about non-visa stuff, don't forget to hang out with your friends, take up a new hobby, go to a sporting event, and your time will come! Good luck

An explanation of why is it taking so long.

Please I need your help, I noticed my fiancé made a mistake on the Form no 16 a& b. On his employment history he filled his current job as employer 1 instead of filling the year he started working there till date he filled the year of his previous job. So currently the form is showing that he stopped working at his current job but instead he is working at his previous job. How do we correct this mistake?

This letter has worked for others to correct errors or for missing documentation or errors that you would like to update, correct, or add. Just change the wording to fit your circumstances.

Here's some tricks to use when answering and wanting to quote someone.

First, when you use the quote button, go into a LONG posts that you are quoting and if there isn't a need to have the entire post, just delete a small portion of it, but leaving enough of the original post so we can understand what you are replying to.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1krDA5e93LXA3JbzBl8Zo-pvBjpNlLJam/view?usp=sharing

Second, you can use the "@" sign in a blank reply box then begin typing the person's nick to bring up a list with their name and select their name. If it is done right, you should see a blue box around their nick like this @Greenbaum. When you use the @ sign you would use it in a blank reply and not a "+" reply.

Third is just to use the "heart" icon and select "thanks". Don't really need to say thanks in a quote. (using your example, you were making a comment and a thank you so the way you presented yourself is fine.
