A case that's 2 away from my tracking number got approved today. Looks like they're looking at some April filers already... or that was just an expedited case.

5 minutes after I made this post got a response to my outside of normal processing time inquiry.

Got the usual "We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe..."

Hi I filed and my case was received April 9,

Only after contacting my congressman, did I find out that the case was received April 9th, and I have a case number. I never received any letters or anything from USCIS. I only found out my case number when I contacted my congressman.

Should i be concerned  ? Looks like someone on this thread was approved a full month ago, but seeing as I just read that they're finally processing April, I should be OK it looks like.

Are you sure that is not your receipt number. It’s too early to receive a case number for us April 2020 filers.

Oh I thought they were one and the same thing. It's the number beginning with WAC...  So I'm assuming it's the receipt number then.  So my question still stands, should I be concerned? I decided to just file and "be patient" So I didn't look at it too much.

I doubt that you have case number as it is too early. Use the PDF from one of the monthly NOA2 to NVC to Embassy threads. There you'll find information for contacting both NVC for a case number and USCIS for a NOA2 approval. Good luck and stay engaged.

Hey everyone. Just want to update you all on our case. I received a reply from the out of processing time (OPT) inquiry we submitted. Not sure if they were doing this for March filers, but they responded with a specific time frame of when to expect a decision to be made for our petition. It's 45-60 days from today. I was expecting our NOA2 in about half that time. Story of 2020 to add on delays. Hope this help us April filers get a feel for what to expect.

NOA1: April 2, 2020

Just received a response to my inquiry placed on the 3rd:

"Your case is currently being adjudicated. We will mail you a notice of action* when we make a decision."

That's all, no timeframe of when to expect a decision or anything. I would like to think that a decision is imminent..?

Usually when they say this it means they’re actively working on your case. So it’s a good thing.
