I'm kind of sorry you feel the way you do. Honestly? I agree with you on things sometimes, but this is something I don't. Not your conspiracy stuff and not the throw the sick and grandma in front of the train stuff because the economy is god. The train can stop. The train can be rebuilt.

 

Well sorry, and you know I hate to cause offense, especially when I'm rather irritable right now, but I'm at high risk and so are many many beloved persons in my family and friends circle. You would do anything to be smart and protect your family at the expense of all else. I'm the same way. People are dying, it's not funny. The economy? It's bad, it had signs of being bad before this happened, it will get better, life will get better, and it will grow again. Because that's how this economy works and always has. We were due for this and it predictably happened and was made worse because of our own stupidity. This is what happens when the love of money is valued greater than life - a complete societal collapse of morality. We don't take action. We don't plan things out for the event of the bad and the what ifs. And when the bad happens we collapse. We'll evolve and grow and be psychologically damaged before it will happen all over again. You will be fine I'm sure. Others will not. The poor, the sick, the 'pre-existing conditions', the elderly, the seemingly perfectly fine.. all will keep dying. How many bodies are you comfortable with before it's too much for you? Everyone has their own tolerance level I suppose. Guess mine is a little lower.

So much of the US has pre existing conditions. No one should be calm about this. 71% of adults in the US are overweight, over 40% are obese, 10% have diabetes, 12% have a diagnosed heart disease, 7% have asthma. You can't just think that reassuring people that only the "sick ones" are going to die helps in any way. That's way too may people! And many people think they're healthy but they're not.

I find it interesting that your morality extends to some broad non-quantified semblance of collectivism (without regard to how beforehand, people would just be allowed to get sick and government would barely be involved), but don't connect the dots to individuals and their livelihood. This is the patent disconnect that disturbs me about the postmodern left, all under the "moralist" diatribe. The religious right seemed to jump to the other side.

Trump is likely the least right wing GOP President in US history. That's why he drew appeal from the Obama voting independents and moderates in the rust belt states.

 

The left won't look inward to their problems, just assign them elsewhere and religiously suggest its everyone else that needs to continue shifting the overton window to their viewpoint. Not gonna happen.

 

Abandoning any semblance of comedy is just another indication of that. The religious right used to invoke outrage when people made fun of their deities, messiahs, etc. The left now do the same thing, except with such vast criteria that humor is simply impossible now.. for them. 😂

Number of deaths increasing by the day is something that happens every flu season, every year.

 

The hysteria strangely is absent.

yeah, and again we can just train doctors, nurses and all the healthcare people easily, cheaply, and immediately. Gone now, replaced tomorrow. 

 

So nothing to be taken seriously. though odd the need for the 2 trillion budget, and then the number of the deceased all of the sudden happening in Washington and NY... must be the flu.. or could be traffic accidents!

Trump doesn't have an ideology, he's just a narcissist only concerned with his own approval ratings and his reelection. The right just follows him, even when he does things that contradict their ideology because he's their dear leader.

You remember when the USA was in shutdown mode when the well known liar wanted to waste taxpayers money on useless wall that his own party would not support?
