I have tried several times weeks apart to get my tax transcripts from irs.gov.  Every time I go to the "get transcripts online" button I get the following message.  Is there something wrong with the website, is it down for COVID-19 or will it not let me access this server from Vietnam?

Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://sa.www4.irs.gov/icce-core/load/gettrans/pages/availableTranscripts.xhtml" on this server.

You cannot access many things in the USA without a VPN that shows you are in USA, its the only way I can get through when I am in Vietnam.

Good Luck with it

Thanks for the help.  Signed up for a free VPN, got onto the site without issue.  Now, since I live in Vietnam and not the US, I don't have a US cell phone so now they have to SNAIL MAIL me my activation code at my home address for the department website.  But, nobody is there since I live alone.  I'll have to get someone to hopefully physically get my snail mail from the post office mail hold, read it to me, and I can enter the code and finally I can get my tax transcripts.

That's why it's a good idea to have a CPA in the U.S. Always a good idea to use a CPA.

It is a good idea.  I always go back to the US two weeks every two months for my job so normally it's not a problem.  But because of Corona I didn't go back this month.
