How many of us considered ourselves invulnerable at 20, not a smart opinion from him but not outrageous

I never had that mindset... but then again I was exposed to a lot of death and serious illness from a young age. It tends to keep you grounded. I just don't like when people say "oh they young and dumb and every young person is like this"... raise a child right and don't make them spoiled brats, keep them grounded in things that really matter. There's a lot of good responsible kids out there... and they're trying hard to get their parents and grandparents to take this seriously.

Among those out there on the beaches in Florida, were plenty of elderly that just don't care.

I did, but I also recognized that I had a whole bunch of years coming after age 20 unless I screwed it up. Although at that age, I had already seen a couple of friends who had gambled their future away for one night of partying.

I want to say it's more of a guy thing. We all go through a few years where we think we are invincible.

I agree, spoiled kids are just spoiled, no excuse for them. And by downplaying their responsibility for what they've done, we're reenforcing their behavior. The only way to learn is to receive real world consequences, not just find excuses.

That said, he's not the only one who needs to be shamed. All irresponsible spring breakers deserve the same level of social shaming.

If it was only affecting his life, fine, but as a silent carrier he could infect 100s.

As you will note, I said he was not smart. I did not condone his actions I said I understood them. I am sure you understand the difference

Well, it's happening every day in America.  Probably more now than ever, if you look around.

They have a stay home order in Denver. I see more people than ever out walking around. They did recommend going out and getting exercise though. Just not doing so in large groups that would defeat the purpose of staying home.
