Time limit on interview after petition approved? (split)

I'm curious if there's a time limit on getting the interview after your petition gets approved. There is no way for us to get interviews or flights to the US but they're still processing petitions/applications it seems.

There are two situations that time is a factor. One is the NOA2 expiration date. The interview must be completed by the expiration date (you'll see the date on your NOA2). You have one year to interview but the authorization is for four months at a time and the embassy needs to approve your request to extend into the next four month window. 

 

Second date that must be a concern is the medical exam completion date, as your visa expiration is determined by that date. They are giving you only 6 months total to be in the US from the medical exam.  That's how the validity of your visa is determined not on the actual visa issuance date but the medical exam date.
