Error on one of our NOA's...

It appears to be a typo, but the address of my wife's NOA has one digit wrong, where it should be a "9" there is a "4", (the postman caught the error and delivered it to the right house). My stepdaughters NOA was fine. I plan to call them first thing Monday. How big of a problem is it going to be getting this error corrected?

Hi there Bill,

Personally, I would send an amendment to USCIS to correct the error. I can't ever imagine the anguish to come from even the slightest off chance that correspondence from the department be misdirected from you due to such an error; a new postman or a replacement perhaps.

In any event, I would try at the very least to attempt the change as soon as practicable.

When we got our NOA for Hachemi's AOS, they had spelled his name wrong by one letter. We called and talked to USCIS and he took the info and gave us a reference number. At biometrics it was still spelled wrong. Hachemi told them and they corrected in the computer. We thought all was well until we got the welcome letter. It was still spelled wrong. I was hoping it was just misspelled in our address. Three days later we received his green card, and it was still wrong. Just stay on them early to make sure it is fixed. It would be a shame if you green card was returned to USCIS as undeliverable. We had to send Hachemi's green card back to be corrected. We were able to get a I-551 stamp in his passport in the meantime, so he can still look for work.
