I had seen a few posts related to this on Facebook.

Generally not a very reliable source.

Of course, you can request an expedite; it's free. However, you can't expedite AP. There was someone here in early January whose husband had interviewed in Islamabad, and she was convinced that he would receive his visa in 2 weeks. I believe he is currently still in AP.

Also, with the current crisis and offices closing, don't expect anything to go fast. The US government has more important things to deal with than your birthday.

There are valid reasons that have to be met for an expedite request.  A birthday, not taking away its importance, is not one of them.  I did an expedite and the reason has to be impactful to the petitioner, usually a financial/health/safety reason...not an emotional celebration reason.  I know, I did an expedite for my now wife of almost 6 years.

I'm thinking about submitting an expedite request today for my next petition

I was thinking about that as well for my wife's naturalization...… She wants to vote in November so I think that is a good reason for a expedite

There are some people that take everything they see on Facebook literally. Someone a couple months back were arguing with people on here about something he heard on FB saying stuff "You're wrong because I saw it on FB"
