If the petitioner is American citizen and filed for his adult daughter the family preference of the petition is F1. SO how come that your wife was in F2B?

The petitioner could have been an LPR at the time of filing the petition, then later naturalized.

Well... OP hasn’t been back again, as often happens here when posters don’t get to hear what they want. At the end of the day it’s irrelevant what the original petition was, what matters is that it is F3 now.

Thanks guys for your enormous replies and contributions. Sorry, I just realise that it was actually F1 category not F2B as posted earlier, sorry for the confusion.  It appears that she has to keep waiting again for priority date of F3 which may take several years.
