Oh, it's his money? It's the money of TAXPAYERS, not Donald Trump. It's not coming from his personal bank account (which is likely empty anyway). So that question makes no sense. 

 

Also, did you read the constitution? All people in the USA - not just citizens - have the right to free speech, and that includes criticizing the president. So your point in that regard is also irrelevant. 

 

And yes I am very happy I can now vote against him in November because having a psychopath in the White House is bad for everyone, even for his cult-like supporters (who just don't even realize it).

I have not listened to any of the President's speeches, so you are very wrong about your assessment. I read and try to find the best unbiased sources of information that I can and then make a calm and rational decision without political bias and disdain. Try it. You might have more peace in your life.

What? Fawning over Donald Trump is a requirement to become a citizen?! I think you need to study up on the constitution a bit more. 

 

Freedom of speech and expression are fundamental aspects of life in America, and that includes making critical comments about political leaders. To suggest that future citizens must keep their mouth shut and never express any type of critical comment about political leaders is anti-American and WRONG. This is the USA, not North Korea (as much as Trump wishes he could have that type of authority, he doesn't).

Does the money belong to the president? If an individual pays taxes then the money belongs to him.. it’s thinking like this why we r in some situations.. get over this political slavery mentality.. who one support does not have anything to do with entitled benefits.. so if a Democrat and a icu nurse does it mean that I should not take care of republican citizen last.. give me a break

Trump literally spends his entire days abusing, demeaning and insulting people. And he is 100% incapable of having rational discussions.

I choose to live a more calm and peaceful life. I disagree without hate and "loathing".

 

We see things differently and we choose to deal with problems differently. This is the American way.

 

It's just sad that some people can not put aside their partisan ways in a time that unity would be a better solution for everyone.

What response would you recommend when the President has given so much contradicting, wrong and poorly framed information?

Just last night I saw the Vice President, the FEMA representative, Atty General Barr and Ms Deborah Birx gave sound, rational presentations and I heard the president rambling on incoherently with some sort of stream of consciousness. I only care because we need consistent, reliable messaging on what are the next steps are and what is expected.

A side note... Just because someone disagrees with your views or disagrees with our leadership, does not mean they can't express their frustration.  

 

Edited to add: The moderators have been working hard on maintaining balance and fairness on this thread and have allowed such thread to go on so people have a place to vent their frustrations. This is a trying time for everyone. There are some things that needed to be mentioned:

 

Freedom of speech still applies on the forum as long as it is constructive and not derogatory. People are free to express their frustrations of this virus and the issues this virus is causing but should do so in the proper threads.

Someone having a different opinion or view of things than you do does not mean they are filled with hate and anger. Again, opinions can be expressed from both sides as long as it is constructive.

Criticism, even against public and political figures, is allowed in the proper posting areas as long as people do not delve into name calling, racist or derogatory undertones.
