Can anyone please explain to us what is really wrong with USCIS? My wife and I checked the process times for my EAD today and we found out that it had gone back by 2-3 months. Are they trying to mess with people's mind or the are that messed up? Please someone should enlighten us before I lose it. Thanks

What is your timeline? When did you file AOS and EAD? If the EAD is outside the normal processing time (i.e. if it's 91 days past when YOU filed) then you should make an infopass appt. to inquire about your EAD. They cannot give you an interim EAD but they can contact the service centre that has it and ask them to process it. Timelines are just that...timelines. They may not be as accurate as many think, IMHO. So rather than "lose it" why not check the date of filing and if it's 91 days since you filed, call your local office.

What's wrong with USCIS? They're a government office, need I say more?

Looks like this process will be a good opportunity for you to learn some patience like the rest of us. It's time to hurry up and wait. :clock:

Like KarenCee said if it's been past 91 days check into it. But it seems like the majority on here get their EAD within 90 days, so count out your 90 days and assume toward the end of them you'll get your card. USCIS's timelines don't seem to mean much.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply. We are really glad, my 90 days isn't up yet but I always check the processing times just to have an idea of when it will be my turn to get an EAD. I will just call them after my 90 days are up. Thank you all.

I have already complained in another topic that I have received a letter in the mail saying that USCIS will not be able to process my AOS case within 90 days and that I should apply for EAD. The moronic thing about it was that I have applied for my EAD more than 2 months ago and have already gotten fingerprinted for it more than a month ago. I have made an appointment to talk to an immigration officer to ask him to pull my EAD application out of his :ranting: and actually process it this time. You know, I don't even care as much about green card. All I want is the right to work and get paid for it.

I hope you don't go to this appointment in this frame of mind...politeness will be required I'm sure. Is your EAD app over 90 days? If it's not they will most likely tell you to wait until it is the 91st day. Having the work permit and working is a privilege...not a right.

I'd like to be there when you tell him to pull it out of his ###. Good way to get yourself treated like ###### through the rest of the process.
