Panicked Leftists Surprised They Can’t Just Purchase a Gun Online Like They Were Told

Leftists are finding out they’ve been lied to for years by liberal politicians.
 

Barack Obama spoke to mourners in Dallas in July 2016 after a Black Lives Matter activist gunned down several police officers.  Obama told the audience, “It is easier for a teenager to buy a glock than to get his hands on a computer or even a book.”

 

Now those same leftists are shocked to find out they can’t just buy a gun online like they were told.

First came the panic buying of hand sanitizer. Then, people panic bought toilet paper. Now, food shelves are emptying and firearm and ammunition sales are through the roof. The COVID19 outbreak might be bad for the stock market, but it’s certainly been a boon for very specific sectors of the economy. The gun industry, used to such boom/bust cycles, knows how to respond – but other sectors might not be so acclimated.
Here at Omaha Outdoors, we’ve been inundated with inquiries from out-of-state folks – many from California – asking if we can ship them a gun directly. The answer is, of course, no. Despite what politicians and many in popular media claim, you can’t buy a gun online and have it shipped to your house.

   The biggest "prepper" I know IRL is also one of the most left leaning people I have ever known IRL. We talk about it once in a while and he has food, supplies, medicine, guns, ammo, body armor for the whole family and a fortified area in the basement to store everything and hole up if necessary. 

 

  However just like TP and hand sanitizer, now is not really the best time to go panic shopping for weapons either. Either you had one and knew how to use it or you didn't. I think this is a good time to evaluate if you should have a firearm though. I imagine going forward, more people will realize the need to be prepared for certain scenarios before they happen.

Do these people honestly think California only contains "leftists"? Please. They should visit Northern California, east of the Bay Area, or the Central Valley. I also used to be married to a straight up MAGA and he lives 15 miles away in downtown LA.

You should head up to Sissquoc Winery.... Now that is MAGA country but good people. Also most people think Ca is made up of people that live in LA or SF. They don't know about the people or the paisas in the Central Valley

To be fair .I am guessing Obama meant getting a glock on the streets. 2 problems. Glocks are not cheap handguns. 2. cracking down on legal gun owners will not change that much

There are organizations that make it EASIER to get a gun, but it isn't cheap.  I hear an AK-47 can be rented for about $5,000 USD for a day or two.  Handguns go for $1,000 or less.  Pay the fee, go kill your victim, return the gun, and go on about your day.

 

Not sure most "teenage kids on the street" have that kind of cash, however.

Well it's more than likely not people on the right and/or gun enthusiasts trying to get firearms sent directly to them from an online dealer. They already knew that it's not possible to have a gun sent directly to them without going through an in-person background check.

Now Taurus and Hi-Point brands are cheap guns. But you better hope that they fire when the trigger is pulled
