I second this.

1. Credit report/score - if your wife/husband has a US SSN, make sure to get a copy of their credit report/score. Sometimes they have a credit report/score even if they don't have a US SSN, my wife has one probably because she's an authorized user on one of my credit cards. This can take 5-7 business days to receive (it's sent by snail mail, there's no way around it :/) so make sure to order it ASAP!

2. Health insurance proof - make sure to get proof of health insurance coverage. My wife is on my plan but doesn't have her own ID, just make sure to get a letter from your insurer (if you have added her).

Good suggestions. Thanks for posting.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Quick question though about OP. He said his spouse's AOS was rejected and his or her spouse is now out of status, i.e. past the 90 days. Because of that, don't they have to submit the i-130 now too?

No I-130 is needed since they married in the 90 days.  There is no requirement to file AOS in that time.

Eligibility to AOS based on a K-1 marriage only requires that the marriage be within the 90 days. There is no time limit to file AOS afterwards.

After day 90, a K-1 visa holder will be out of status.

The above 2 scenarios are not mutually exclusive.

You are out of status until you file your AOS. Keep a copy of your marriage certificate with you if you must leave the house while waiting for the NOA1 from USCIS.

Fortunately during Covid-19, illegal aliens (which you are now, congrats), will have no action take toward them unless they pose threat to the USA. So wear a mask, don’t get sick, and don’t break any laws.

Question, How did you request a credit/report score without ssn?

my wife does not have a ssn, we applied for one 4 weeks ago, but its still pending approval from homeland. ( im sure everything is min staff because of this covid-19).... we just called ssn office today and it still pending.

My wife has been an authorized user on my card since before she even got the K-1 interview.  Im curious if she has any credit.

Time is getting close to our 90 days, which will be April 31, and who knows whats going to be happening in the world around then, hopefully we get back to normal soon. I'm about to file the AOS/865/944 but I think the only thing we are missing is the Credit Report thing

I submitted my AOS packet today. I just found out that the EAD (I-756) form expires on May 21st 2020 (indicated on the first page). I don't think my EAD will be approved before May 21st 2020. Do I need to send a new form again because of the expiration date or should I just wait? I am not sure what this expiration date on the form means.

As far as I know, USCIS will consider the date you mailed your packet. I doesn't matter if it'll be approved after form's expiration date.

If you have mailed it in May 22nd, then that's when it'll be rejected.

1) What matters is the date filed.

2) That's the OMB expiration date. You are not the OMB. USCIS goes by Edition Dates, on the lower left corner of any page.

Ah, Okay the form I used is still valid till April 20th 2020, according to USCIS (https://www.uscis.gov/i-765). Thank you for letting me know about the expiration date on the form.

I called and requested one in the mail, of course nothing came. I already sent our packet though.

I just did what others did. Took a screenshot of the error on annualcreditreport.com and printed it. Then she wrote a letter explaining why she doesn't have one yet and how she will be financially dependent in the future once she is approved a ssn.

I didn't want to wait any longer because it's getting close to our 90 day mark and who knows what will happen with the covid 19.  I just wanted our paperwork in, if we get an rfe, then I hope we have something by then.
