Says it is under investigation or violates the rules.  Hopefully it's the former.

 

What are the ages of the kids you heard about?  The youngest I have found so far was 21, but he had really bad cancer that he didn't even know about until he was tested for covid-19.

What amazes me is that expert science based opinions are mocked while poorly thought through speculation is cherished.

  Youngest I heard was 14. I haven't heard of any toddler or grade school kids.

I KNOW you know I wasn't making light of your parents nor of anyone who is more likely to be affected.  At 77, my father is also pretty high on the list of not-gonna-do-wells if he comes down with it.  I know one person who has had a death from it already, thankfully it's the only one I know (friend of a friend) who hasn't recovered.

Managed to find some chicken this morning. Got a sweet tip from a grocery worker. My dog can eat peacefully for a couple weeks. I'd like to know your theory, because so far it's one angle no one has figured out. At first it was thought smoking, but I think it's killing smokers equally in gender, but overall men of all ages are getting hit hard.

It is my opinion that the media blowing this out of proportion early on, whether it is out of stupidity or a desire to try and ruin Trump is going to ruin many more lives than the virus.  Right now, 344 people have died in the US, and that is horrible.  But how many THOUSANDS of people have lost their jobs, and will soon lose their homes?  The effect on the global economy is likely to far exceed that of SARS.  I hope I am wrong.  Only time will tell.  But I don't think right now, most people are focused on the virus.  Personally, I am much more worried about the economic disaster that is on the horizon.  

I'm sorry but, Presidents know things. They're supposed to because they get briefed constantly by the best of the brightest. We knew. They knew. He knew. If he had staff surrounding him telling him to ignore the warnings, then he's got a big problem. Heck, the previous administration knew, and the administration before that - and guess what? We weren't prepared, because of our stupid hubris, because of ignoring the warnings. If our stockpile is this low, if our health infrastructure is this bad, if our research and funding was allowed to slip away... it's just obvious what would happen if you introduce a scenario like this. And they even ran simulated scenarios like this to tell them that this would happen.

If the administration thought this was a risk of epidemic, they should not have wasted two months not preparing for said risk. He could have consulted his pandemic response team, but they were let go.
