yea, but your posts says for 6 months. Not true

He is right. There's no definite date set (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-51969498). Everyone, when reading news, please make sure you do a fact check. That link you shared with us is a lifestyle site and the source it quoted from there leads to a sister site, from the SAME AUTHOR quoting himself.

Incorrect interpretation of “ this may last for 6 months”. Need to always read the original source from which any media outlet reports ..

This is the problem with media information that gives some truth then adds less than accurate interpretation or comments. It’s what makes staying informed reasoned and rational very difficult

Well, some recent media reports about Australia's border closure (to non-citizens & non-residents) speculate that the new arrangements could be in place for up to 6 months. And that seems highly plausible given how things are escalating in Australia both in terms of the number of COVID-19 cases and federal and state-level responses to the situation.

Media reports (which reference the 6 months possibility):

I'm Australian by birth and my elderly parents live there.
