Hello all! I’m from Houston Texas.   I got a letter saying My oath ceremony scheduled for April 1st got cancel  due to unforeseen circumstances and that I will be receiving a notification with a rescheduled date at a later time . I checked online and nothing has been scheduled yet 😪. Pray to God it won’t take long.

Anyone else from Houston, TX

Temporary closure extended until April 7

Quote

On March 18, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services temporarily suspended routine in-person services to help slow the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). USCIS plans to re-open our offices on April 7, unless the public closures are extended further. USCIS staff are continuing to perform duties that do not involve contact with the public. However, USCIS will provide emergency services for limited situations. To schedule an emergency appointment, contact the USCIS Contact Center.

USCIS domestic field offices will send notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments and naturalization ceremonies impacted by this temporary closure. USCIS asylum offices will send interview cancellation notices and automatically reschedule asylum interviews. When the interview is rescheduled, asylum applicants will receive a new interview notice with the new time, date and location for the interview. When USCIS again resumes normal operations, USCIS will automatically reschedule Application Support Center appointments due to the office closure. You will receive a new appointment letter in the mail. Individuals who had InfoPass or other appointments at the field office must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center, once field offices reopen to the public. Please check the USCIS Field Offices page to see if your field office has reopened before reaching out to the USCIS Contact Center.

CITIZENSHIP TIMELINE

2/2020: Interview (10 months)

3/2020: Oath & naturalization (11 months)

6/2020: Passport received (3 months)

I have reached out to my USCIS officer who interviewed my N400 application and he just responded back to me that all N-400 interviews and oath will be rescheduled after Apr 13th. Stay tuned next letter on its way.

When was your original date for the oath was? Mine was on March 18th.
