Hi. Has anyone had their interview rescheduled in Juarez due to the coronavirus? Or is everything still fine there? I haven’t received any emails about delays for that embassy.

Got an email yesterday with my cancellation notice. My interview was April 2.

Dear immigrant visa applicant:

As a result of the ongoing global COVID-19 outbreak, effective 18 March, 2020, the U.S. Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez has suspended routine visa services until further notice.

Your immigrant visa interview and ASC appointment were cancelled. Do not attend these appointments.

Unfortunately, you recently received an invitation to register for an immigrant visa interview at the U.S. Consulate General and a biometric collection appointment at the Applicant Service Center (ASC). That invitation was sent out before the appointments were cancelled.

You do not need to take any action at this time. Once the U.S. Consulate General resumes normal operations, we will contact you to reschedule your interview. You can monitor https://mx.usembassy.gov/news-events/ for the latest updates on the operating status of U.S. Consulate General in Ciudad Juarez

Don't expect to hear anything for a month or more if COVID-19 doesn't clear soon.

Hello, I'm so sorry that your appointment was cancelled when you were so close.

I checked your timeline, is it correct that you received an interview appointment about seven months after sending in your application (before the coronavirus ruined everything)?

I would say it was more about 6 months. Hopefully we get some sort of priority when the consulate is available again since we were so close. 😕

No new forms or anything due to covid10 (at the moment). Check the calendar website to see if you can move it up.   People have to reschedule for various reasons.  We were able to move ours up multiple times.
