Mucinex DM max strength usually is the thing that works good. If you're noticing it getting worse in the lungs, get back to see someone for sure. :(

Read another article about doctors and pharmacists in several states hoarding it for themselves and family members, illegally prescribing, or stealing the drugs for their own use leading to big shortages. Just awful.

Agreed. And as someone who's had pneumonia several times in his life, keep an eye out for dry coughs, upper/mid back pain, shorter breath (practice deep breaths when at rest),  and this low pitched reverberating sound in such a cough (that might suggest the lung(s) collapsing).
