But isn't that EXACTLY what they did?  Drank their koi ich treatment?  I haven't seen anything specific yet as to whether they used the liquid or tablet form, but I suspect that is a moot point.

The wife said she put it in some soda. My bad saying tablets, because the article was illustrated with a picture of tablets. It's unclear what form it was in. But it was put in soda. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tarahaelle/2020/03/23/man-dead-from-taking-chloroquine-after-trump-touts-drug-for-coronavirus/#7dbc94a772e9

Twitter is the "source" for the mixing it in soda claim.

And at least Heidi pointed out:

The toxic ingredient they consumed was not the medication form of chloroquine, used to treat malaria in humans. Instead, it was an ingredient listed on a parasite treatment for fish.

I'm done.  You guys can argue more about it if you wish.  This falls into the EXACT SAME category as people eating tide pods.

I believe the woman said she mixed it with soda. I can find the quote elsewhere and will post. :)  I'm not arguing about anything, I'm just saying the woman who did this REALLY STUPID THING blamed Trump. It's still really stupid!

The interview is embedded in that tweet. It doesn't matter if it was posted on Twitter, that's an interview with the wife and she said she mixed it with soda.

I think I posted that. It is chloroquine phosphate, the same anti malarial that was used in humans. Hydroxychloroquine is used nowadays because it's less toxic. You can overdose on both, but easier to do so on chloroquine. Especially if you are mixing your own.

Chloroquine can apparently just be obtained without an RX in places like Mexico

Oh, yes.  However (from what I gathered while watching Univision Noticias with Mama-Mrs.-T-B. today), it's already sold out at every border pharmacy.

Same thing happened with Tamiflu 11 years ago during the Porcina.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Clearly Trump should be impeached for being President almighty and not ordering P&G to put nutrition labels on Tide Pods.

Perhaps he recognized that US pharmacies are starting to run out of medications like azithromycin and hydrochloroquine, and now patients who actually need these medicines can't get them.  The idiot of the day awards should go to people who are sitting on stocks of these drugs when they don't need them.

It also does this though:

Quote

The order also limits a prescription to a 30-day supply to ensure it’s available for “legitimate medical purposes" and so that people cannot find a way to stockpile the drug.

This drug is used to treat serious Lupus cases, and those people do need that drug. Zpacks are also an important antibiotic that people try to obtain like candy. Drug stockpiling can be done by all sorts of people that do not think of the consequences and do not care. If you have ever felt the frustration of being told your drug is out of stock and they don't know when a shipment will come in and you need a drug to live.. I hope you understand.
