My wife (LPR) and I are going to finally have a real wedding in October after getting married in '05 at City Hall. We want to bring her sister over for our wedding to be my wife's maid of honor. My wife is Chinese, but an Indonesian citizen by a previous marriage. Her sister is Chinese and lives in Shanghai.

Can anybody give us any advice on how to best go about this? Any and all input is appreicated.

Thanks,

-Q

She would need to apply for a tourist visa. Check the appropriate consulate website for the information regarding how long it takes for an interview and what documentation is necessary.

She would apply for a tourist visa at the consulate in Shanghai, she will need to demonstrate strong ties to home to get the visa though.
