Hi, I just received an email from NVC that the embassy is willing to expedite my IR1 case.

Dear Sir/Madam:

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when all required fees, forms, and documents have been received and reviewed.

Please log onto the Department of State’s Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website, ceac.state.gov, to ensure you have paid all required fees and all documents have an ‘Accepted’ status. You will receive a ‘Documentarily Qualified’ notice indicating the NVC has completed all processing, at which point your case will be automatically forwarded to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate."

How's this even expedited if it's going to wait for NVC to review & accept the documents?? Thank you!

Because every case, expedited or not, requires complete and accurate documentation.

I submitted all my documents and paid my fees on 2/26/2020

2/27/2020 I submitted for expedite

3/17/2020 I received the same email but only stating they would contact me for the interview soon. You must submit and put all fees first

It never said that they expedited it... they just say that they are willing to expedite it providing that you fulfill the necessary requirements

My wife has home. So, I cant mention that I am paying rent to her. Sadly...Only way is coronavirus excuse.

How about you mentioned that you have to pay rental plus assist your wife with the monthly maintenance of her house.

Do they buy that? My joint sponsor (my FIL) has about 6 dependents. He makes a lot but I dont think its enough to hit that 125% above poverty guideline. I do help pay for my wifes rent and shes about to work two jobs.
