Asking this for a friend.

Recently a USC spouse had their wife enter US based on IR-1/CR-1. Now the husband is losing job because of COVID-19. He wants to apply for marketplace, but even marketplace need some sort of job. So, they are planning for Medicaid. Since wife has GC, will this count against them when they goto US citizenship interview in next few years. I don't expect them on Medicaid of that long, its only temporary, until husband find new job (6 months)

I think only CA and NY offer Medicaid from Day 1, otherwise you need to be a LPR for 5 years.

By "market place" do you mean the exchange set up under Obamacare? If that's the case, I don't think you need some sort of job for that. When my wife and I were both unemployed for three months (she quit a job and I was set to start one in three months) we purchased a plan through the insurance exchange set up under obamacare (covered california in our case).
