I am overwhelmed with all the paperwork so far with bringing my husband to USA.

He arrived in USA April 1st on K-3 Visa.

I filed the AOS in early May, and he had his biometrics a couple weeks ago.

I didn't file for the EAD because I couldn't afford it at the time, and I'm debating whether or not I will file for it.

Is my husband able to get a SSN without EAD?

My concern is if at his interview they will ask for proof of common residency and how to prove it?

I do have him added to my health/dental benefits from work, and he's listed on my car insurance policy

(but not covered since he doesn't have his US drivers license).

He can't be added to my bank account without a SSN. It seems like I can't add him to anything

without a SSN.

Maybe I'm confused, but I thought I saw other members of these forums saying they had gotten SSN

before EAD & AOS (greencard).

HELP!

Thanks,

Dayna

K-3 can only get SSN, with EAD card or Green-Card. K-3 is not "work authorized" like K-1, so SSA wont issue a card to a K-3.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
