HEALTH INSURANCE - May be possible to obtain

Hey everyone I know the question of obtaining health insurance while not in an open enrollment period or past the date of a qualified change comes up a lot- well Connecticut just activated a special open enrollment so people can sign up for health insurance! Check to see if your state is offering it as well.

This is great news so people can obtain coverage in the event they get sick (looking at you Coronavirus!)

Usually a life changing event such as birth, immigration, marriage, and death is only what us needed in order to enroll for healthcare outside of the approved window.

States like MD and CT have changed the rules temporarily.

I know, which is why this is good news for those uninsured in the state of CT- highly recommend those needing coverage to check your states health exchange to see if they have opened up this special enrollment for COVID-19.
