I just crossed at 4pm March 23rd at YVR and was in and out. Airports are dead and they are only accepting Canadians with visas so K1 at the moment are okay.

that said, as the last poster said, flights are dropping fast. I was suppose to fly out tomorrow but American and delta did a massive cut of flights so took the next flight out.

you are good to cross but I would leave as soon as possible.

Hi,

Thanks for the information. I am glad that everything went smoothly for you.  Can I ask which airport did you fly into? Did it have to be one of the airports for international travellers?

It’s just weird because I went to Pearson Airport today and someone at Air Canada Customer Service helped me in asking US Custom Manager and they said no to K1 visa so that’s confusing.

I got confirmation from a few CBP officers in different areas that confirmed as of now they are processing K1s so should be good at a land border as well.

I didn’t see this post but thank you so much for your information.

Best!

I tried getting answers by calling the CBP and they just forwarded me to an automatic recording telling me to go to the Department of Homeland Securities website to answer my questions.

I’m not sure how you were so lucky to get your information but thank you so much for posting it! I’m loading up my cat and all my belonging on a uHaul today with the hopes that they let me through.

Happy to help! The Montreal Consulate lost my passport so I got my local MP involved a while back and she had a few different CBP contacts she was able to check with so I was very lucky to have her on my side.

Hello All,

Has anyone with US Conditional Green Card status, had any trouble crossing the border?

I am a Canadian Citizen with US Conditional Green Card.
I intend to visit Canada on Friday, 27th  to visit Family (from a safe distance).

Knowing Canada requires 14th day quarantine upon arrival in Canada, Would I be allowed to get back into U.S. on Monday, 30th? .

What should I say at both Canadian and American borders.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Has anyone with Canadian passport, had any trouble crossing the border? I am a Canadian married to a US citizen and waiting for our I-130 approval. So far I have frequently (1 short trip every 3 months) visited my spouse with no problem at all. I am wondering if I can still visit my spouse under new US-Canada border restriction. Thanks

I wanted to let you all know that I crossed by land at Port Huron in Michigan today with my K1 with no issues!

I was wondering if you made it or were going to make it across since all this started. Happy you had no issue. 🙌

There are several news stories around Vancouver about married couples separated by the border not being able to cross to see each other.  I'm not sure if this is a set rule or if it's still up to the individual officers.

Likely individual since there are also reports of some that are able to cross. It seems that flying is your best bet should one want to attempt to cross since afaik the closure only applies to the land border.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.
