He needs to have it with him at the interview. We did it by snail mail - wet ink signature. I think you might be able to scan it and send to his email and then he can print it out and bring with him.

Scanning to a PDF file and then sending it via email where the beneficiary can print it off and bring to the interview. It is a requirement along with the DS-5540 which has been reported by many their embassy asked for it at their interview.

Thank u what is a DS-5540 ?

It's a form, much like the DS-160 that will identify any public services you (beneficiary) have availed yourself to. I'll give you a link to read a little more about this new form here:

Is the bank of statement form a must? We are trying to get all the documents ready while we can now @Greenbaum

Always follow what YOUR embassy requires and not from others. So, your embassy is requesting the following. Notice it does not ask for bank statements. My opinion is that you have the burden to prove that the beneficiary and you will not become a public charge. So if the petitioner has a steady income and has money in the bank to which to rely on if it's needed, that money would act as the buffer between being self-sufficient and becoming a public charge. What I recommend you do is make a copy of the first page of the statement (each bank is different but follow along for the example} where it shows the beginning balance, deposits, and withdrawals then conclude with the month ending balance. Six months to a year is excellent.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: Evidence that will show that you and your children, if any,

are not likely to become public charges in the United States. If an affidavit of support is

to be submitted, Form 1-134 should be used.

Please complete the attached Form DS-5540, Public Charge Questionnaire, and bring

this form for your interview. You need only complete one form for yourself and your

derivative applicants.

All documents not in English must be accompanied by an English translation.

Translations must be certified by a competent and registered translator. The original

document that is being translated must also be presented with the original translation.

Where necessary, we may require you to furnish other documents in addition to the

above documents.
