How can I set up a joint bank account without a SS# or Alien#?

With a W8-BEN. Most banks don't know very well how to deal with this, so you might be better off with a bigger bank that has some experience with expats or something. Then again our experience with USAA was abysmal and they should be used to foreign spouses one would think.

We did this last time I went to the States (December 2019).

What the bank manager did was they added me on my Fiancee's bank account. I forgot what it's called, kinda like "supplemental" something.

Documents they asked for are my Passport and my Fiancee's IDs and of course, her bank account.

I can do wire transfers, deposits and withdrawals but i can't get a credit card.

She said once I get my SSN I need to go back there and updated my account so I can get a credit card.

Our bank is Bank of America.
