The norm seems to be that they are being cancelled for obvious reasons.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I'm only sure of what I have heard from several others. You might want to contact the consulate to be sure, but it seems like interviews in Casablanca are suspended for the time being. I've heard that several people have received the cancellation notice coming from the IVcasablanca@state.gov email address.

Thanks for the update and insight. Many people are wondering what's happening to their appointments and when they'll get rescheduled.

The USCIS is doing the same right now with interviews (e.g. green card interviews). They're canceling appointments indefinitely.

I learned the hard way, I hope YOU don't have to. Advice: learn, learn, learn.

Why is it I see this as a no brainer but so many are making it seem like they are "owed" something just because they submitted an application. This pandemic has NEVER happened in the history of the world as we know it as it relates to the 21st century.

I"ll share some things with you that I learned long ago about this process

  • "the man with the gold makes the rules" and
  • it will take as long as it will take
  • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
  • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
  • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Good luck on your journey
