I’m a non-US citizen. In a country that has around 200 corona cases for now. I’ve applied for the CR1 visa. My husband is the US citizen. Our case is currently with the NVC, we’ve submitted our documents and DS-260. However the embassy in my country has recently notified on their website that they are cancelling all immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments.
Does this affect my case? Considering that my case is in the NVC processing stage? Is NVC working on new cases these days amid the corona outbreak or does the embassy cancelling appointments mean that my case would be put on halt immediately? Thanking in anticipation

Yes, your case is affected.  NVC will not schedule your interview until the consulate notifies them that interview dates are available.  At that point, NVC will start scheduling cases at the front of the queue. Hopefully, everything will return to normal within the next few months...

Our case was sent to NVC ON 4/29 and we were given a case number on May 2nd, so it looks like they are still doing stuff on the front end at their office! Not sure yet if they are processing documents though? Have you seen anything new?
