I looked at using them but they don't ship door to door and I want someone who will deliver to where I will be in SD! Upakweship does do cubes!

This probably isn't very helpful for you but I ended up shipping my boxes with Australia Post. I got the largest shipping boxes we could from Officeworks and have been sending one box a week and they cost about $100 each.

I got nervous about the box fees in arrival in the US so I thought I would go with Australia Post.

That isn't a bad idea but I have too many boxes and would rather pay more for them to arrive together!

I have my us visa in hand I put i want to leave August  1st. I applied for a travel exempt and gave no flight because I didn't want to purchase a flight with no answer i still haven't heard anything and its been 3 weeks ??  The reason I put for leaving is im getting married on a k1 and do not plan on returning i plan on adjusting status and living in the us and I sent a photo of the visa as proof . Should I wait or resubmit? Also the visa expires in October is that enough time to resubmit it denied?

I also applied for a travel exemption nearly two weeks ago and haven't heard back. I think they approval quite close to the travel date.

All the best 😊

I put unknown as the flight because  i didn't want to buy a ticket and not have a definite  answer.  Do you think they'll deny  it because of that?

No I don’t think they will because I didn’t have a flight number either since I was going to buy one once I got approval. They will probably approve you much closer to the date of departure you put in the request. If you put August 1st down they will probably respond to you late July to be honest.

Hey everyone, congrats on getting emergency interviews, getting approved, and getting travel exemptions! I have a slightly off topic question maybe someone can answer.. my interview was originally scheduled for March 31st. I had my medical on March 10th. I don’t have any reason to request an emergency interview so I’m just waiting until they resume normal services. Does anyone know whether my visa will expire 6 months from the interview date or 6 months from the medical date? I don’t want to have to repeat the medical but am unsure if I will be able to travel before September 10th

I’ve made it to the US! I arrived yesterday into Chicago. When I was checking in at Melbourne airport they airline called me before my flight to ask if I had a waiver and if I didn’t there would be Border Force staff there to help me. I’m not sure if that means that those staff will provide approvals on the spot or what. I showed them my waiver email and they said it all looks good. The check in staff recorded the reference number and checked my visa before they issued my boarding pass. When I had to go through immigration In Melbourne they just let me through with no more questions asked.

Once I got to Chicago I asked staff where I should line up with a K1 visa and they directed me. When I got up to the counter the guy was really friendly and said he hasn’t seen a k1 in ages so he was super excited to process it! On top of that he said all Australians are awesome! He only asked one question about how I met my fiancé and then said welcome to America and let me through :) it was really easy! Hope to hear more of you guys reach the US soon!!

Soooooooo good!!!  It always makes. Huge difference when the Officer is friendly. :) Congrats on this chapter closing...and your next chapter starting!!!

Fingers crossed we’ll be following in footsteps behind you!!!  Just gotta get my paperwork OUT of the NVC!!  Do I remember you saying you had to request it to be sent out for an emergency interview or was that someone else?  If it was you, would you mind reminding me who you’re emailed to get it sent? Cheers. :)
