So...the case arrived on Tuesday and yesterday at the end of the day she received the interview request for the this morning.  She just finished and was approved!  Very thankful to all of the advice from the folks around here.  I am beyond words that my girl will soon be with me.  Now we have to find a flight.  If anyone has any suggestions for shipping a few boxes, it would be greatly appreciated!  Best of luck to all!!!!

So great!!!!! I’m glad to hear you have got over the majority of all the hurdles!!! Now to make the flight!!!! Wishing you the best of luck!!!

Congratulations! So glad they could turn it around so quickly for you guys. I’m currently using Seven Seas to ship a few boxes after a few friends recommended them too. So far they’ve been pretty good and the quote was decent for shipping by sea. I’m shipping 6 boxes for around $900.

I have been looking as well. I want to ship a lot of boxes but I want them to ship to my state in the midwest. A lot only do it to the port and then you need to find your own way. I will probably have 15 or so boxes as it is for my daughter and I together.

I am getting antsy. I emailed them yesterday about my request and I haven't heard a reply. I am hoping I do Monday as I need to put a deposit down for my medical by early next week or I lose the spot. It's $100 so I could lose it I guess but I would rather not. Gosh I hope it gets approved.

I found that once I started putting URGENT in the subject line I got responses a lot quicker - perhaps you could try that if they don't get back to you?

Good luck!

Thank you! I did put emergency but yeah if they don’t reply by Monday arvo I’ll send another email. Unless that’s too short of a time?

ill lose my booking for medical but I can book again.

I would chase them up on Monday with a quick email. I had to do that too when I requested my interview and when I asked for an update they got back to me straight away.

also I reckon the medical center will understand if you have to rebook a different time. I actually missed my appointment because the receptionist told me the wrong date but they didn’t charge me a second booking fee.

Will do! I've contacted a couple of companies on this list: https://www.airnewzealand.com/international-cargo-pet-transporters Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow.

How did you go with Air New Zealand??

I am hoping you have some good news to share with us :)

Unfortunately no :( they said Air New Zealand is only letting them get as far as Auckland but that’s it. Might need to wait a little longer until they let them onto the other international flights. Hopefully that’ll be soon.

Oh no :( That's disappointing!

I am hoping to leave Australia in July and don't have anyone willing to take my two dogs so I am hoping that Air New Zealand allows pets internationally soon.

Thanks for getting back to me :)

Thanks! I just didn't want to seem overbearing as they did say 2-3 days. Really want to get the appointment and not a denied request so it feels like a fine line!

Oh that is good. I will pay the booking and if I have to reschedule so be it.

*fingers crossed*

Thanks! I am very impatient. I think knowing I need to pay the deposit for my medical in a week is kicking in.
