I'm glad you did, we are working with a lawyer and his assistant so I'm not sure if they are trying hard enough. if it was me I would try until I get it but I don't think they have the time to try until they get it and they said they were going to try each day but I think they are just trying one time and if the system doesn't work well they just try another day. I'm about to call them and tell them to send me the files so I can try morning evening and night until I get them uploaded (it doesn't seem hard to do) but I don't want them to think that I want to do their job :(

I hear you.

Their sense of urgency is not same as yours. Not all, but like doctors’ lawyers get sanitize. They do not understand the plight of immigrants. One thing I learned about this country be a Pitt bull and not a puddle when it comes to your affairs.

After all they charged you and not doing any favors. Be respectful and humble, but keep at it until it gets done.

I did everything on my own. It never occurred to me to hire a lawyer. If for some reason USCIS and NVC is hell bent to deny your case..not much these lawyers can do.

There is no appeal for immigration (meaning immigration court) decisions. Their decision is final. I better stop my soap box and let you go after this lawyer office :)

one Question to everyone here!

do the Civil Documents have to be translated? ours are in Spanish, or am I understanding this wrong?

Step 7: Collect Civil Documents

After you complete your DS-260(s), you and each family member immigrating with you MUST collect the civil documents required to support your visa application.

Your civil documents MUST be issued by the official issuing authority in your country. Please refer to the Document Finder to learn about the civil document requirements for each country.

Please note that all documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that:

  • The translation is accurate, and
  • The translator is competent to translate.

Important Notice on Missing Documents: If a required document is unavailable per the country-specific guidelines, you do not need to scan the document into your CEAC. However, if you cannot obtain a required document for another reason, you must submit a detailed written explanation to NVC when you scan your other documents. During your visa interview, the consular officer will determine whether you must obtain the missing document before a visa can be issued. As a general rule, any document that is listed as “available” on the country-specific guidelines must be reviewed by a consular officer. Failure to obtain all required documents will delay your case.

No they don't need to be. Here is why from your quote directly right out of state dept website:

"Please note that all documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying, must be accompanied by certified translations."

They key here is: Not written in English, or in the official language of the country from which you are applying.

This simply means if you are going to have the interview in a country where the official language is Spanish then you are good . No translation is necessary.

Reverse would be true for example: You were going to have an interview in Poland and all your docs are in Spanish then you must translate them to English.

Clear?

btw I just saved you lot of money and more delays. So, send me a friendly hug :)

Guys,

Everything worked for me today. I was able to upload at least 7 documents. All went well. Now, we wait.

Thx

Ai

Do you know what time you uploaded? Was it early morning or late at night? Maybe I'm just getting on when everyone else is and it's crashing... (I've tried 3 different computers/methods and 2 browsers now with same error message)

I'm having the same issue - been trying to upload one document for the past 2 days. Have tried Chrome, Opera.

What time did you upload? Did you do it early morning or late at night?

GM,

I believe, It was late evening eastern US time. I used Firefox. I was not hopeful it would work, but to my surprise it worked with few forced logouts.

Only thing I can say is keep trying and you might catch a break.

IMHO its not a local computer issue, if it worked before it should work now as well. The issue is on NVC system side.

I have the same problem for the past 3 days uploading the civil documents. I called NVC and they told me I had to submit the financial documents before I could upload any civil documents. I followed what they said and submitted my financial doc first, then waited for a few hours. I was able to upload and the submit my civil documents a few hours after I submitted my financial doc.

Hope this helps

I waited until later at night when I figured there were less users (So I got on around 9pm PST so EST people were most likely asleep). I just kept trying and trying different times and eventually it went through.

Hi! thank you for your advice.

uploading through my phone worked.

LTE must be consistent. Coz every time the data shifts from LTE to 3G an error will occur.

So finally was able to upload some docs today using data with my phone... my problem now is the SUBMIT button will not work. 🤦‍♀️

CEAC has had a notice on the main page stating it was down and having technical difficulties for as long as I’ve been at the NVC stage since end of January but with many troubles and delays I was eventually able to upload all documents. So there is a notice stating that but it still works!

Good luck!
