Hi All:

Me and my wife attended our AOS interview on March 2, 2020. The interview went well, however they gave us an RFE due to "incomplete medical". They said over a year passed since the original medical exam was completed so we would need to perform it again. They gave us until April 6, 2020 to answer the RFE.

We have experienced long delays receiving the blood work results for the Medical Exam due to the COVID-19 situation. Puerto Rico is currently under mandatory self-quarantine until March 30th and labs are giving priority to COVID-19 testing. Due to this, I am afraid we will not be able to complete the medical exam before April 6th.

If this were the case, what is the best option for answering the RFE? Should I send in a letter with the RFE explaining the situation and hoping I get an additional RFE? Your input is appreciated.

Regards,

Carlos

It’s probably all you can do .. best to include the letter from the medical center and also a copy of your payment receipt for the medical exam so it’s clear you have done all you can to comply. Keep copies of everything !! You could get a letter from the medical center just stating when you had the medical
