Great news!  Hoping to get back there and get the medical and interview scheduled.  I can imagine we will be far down the line though.  Maybe by September!?  🤞

Not a great news. South Korea ever closed at the first place. They had the least corona cases in the world

I know :( But at least they said they are planning to resume the interview from june 15th ONLY for the spouse and child of USC. Hope this is a good sign that they’re trying to get back to the normal Embassy work phase.

Where did u get this information from?

From South Korea US embassy.

Accordingly, my interview is now rescheduled on June 25th. (Orignally April, 14th but got cancelled due to the Corona.)

They contacted people personally via phone call and reschedule the interview ONLY for the “Spouse and child of USC” for now. You cannot currently pick the visa interview date on the website. It seems the embassy schedule the interview for those people who got cancelled ahead (march & april I guess), as many people are in the line for this interview.  However, The embassy call center said there’s no any official statement that they now resume the visa work. That’s why I didn’t add on my previous post as it is OFFICIAL.

Wow, that's awfully soon. Some people that had interviews rescheduled to June in other countries had them cancelled recently. When did they call? And was this an emergency or expedited case at all? If not, you'd be the first person I've seen on here that's having a "regular" interview since visa services stopped.

The first post is talking about Nepal's immigration program, not the US's immigration program. The 2nd sounds like old information, since it's only talking about China.

Even though they are closing and cancelling interviews, does anyone know if they still working on those who have submitted documents and have cases under Administrative Processing?

My fiance had his interview at the Montreal Embassy, was told everything was perfect except for the condition of his passport (his was slightly damaged), asked him to send a new one, he sent it (it was definitely received by the embassy March. 4th) and now we feel like he's just in this limbo with no passport. Like, even if the ban from Canada to the U.S. is lifted, he can't travel anywhere...

Hi! What kind of damage did your fiance's passport have? Mine has gotten slightly wet in the past (I've never been denied entry at borders since, but I don't know how picky the US consulate is of course). Thanks!

Some news about Spain:

http://es.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/

The U.S. Embassy in Madrid, the U.S. Consulate General in Barcelona, and the five consular agencies in Spain will gradually resume regular citizenship services beginning June 29.

Also an update on visas:

http://es.usembassy.gov/covid-19-related-faq/

Seems a mess between travel ban, proclamation and visa types even they don't understand.

I posted in another forum, but will repost here as well. UAE is starting to do interviews that were previously scheduled and cancelled.
