I received my package returned, with a 'Rejection Notice' saying that I used the 'Outdated version' of the form I-485. Everything was returned with 3 rejection notices. They have the mentioned to fully submit the petition. I am getting ready to file again, as it is not yet considered  as properly filed. They destroyed the payment authorization forms. Have given a green colored letter as well, which needs to be put on top of the new filing.

Oh, I am sorry about that. At least you are not in limbo anymore; maybe my package will come soon

- Feb 22 2020 - Mailed Application (I-130, I-845....) to Chicago

- April 22 2020 - NOA 1

- June 1 2020 - RFE for I-944

- June 24 2020 - Replied to RFE

- Oct 25 2020 - Fingerprint done

- Nov 9 2020 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

I finally, redid the process today. As per the letter, I used USPS service to send the package to the PO BOX address for Chicago. I hope it gets delivered in the timely manner (Use priority mail, but we all know the current situation). I pulled the new I-485, version date 10/15/19, this one is 20 pages (The site still says 18 pages; which is incorrect). The prior version had 18 pages; version date 07/15/19. They added more questions to link your I-485, I-944, I-864, so additional pages.

I also noted that I-765 is also going to be revised. The new version is already out (version date 12/26/19), however, in my initial filing I had used the version date 05/31/18. The USCIS site says from 4/20/2020 onward they will not accept the 5/31/18 version. I noticed that the expiration date of both versions are still 5/31/2020. I hope my packet reaches them before 4/20/2020 or they honor the postmark date of the package despite the fact that I have used the latest version. I did not find anything different in the versions otherwise.  I am going to send them an email about these discrepancies. At least about the 5/31/2020 expiration date of the I-765.

I hope others are seeing some progress with your respective cases. Thank you for your constant good vibes.

The USPS is taking forever to deliver my package. From Thursday night (a delay already) there is further delay in Chicago. Although it was all going well by Wednesday night. Making me nervous. Fingers crossed!

Because of Covid USPS is working slower nowadays.

Indeed! We tried to be patient :)

As for me, the magic has happened today! It seems like they finally found my application after almost 2 months, because I just saw 3 charges on my bank accounts for the fees.

Maybe they will tell me that I am still using an incorrect form or other issues, but I feel a bit relieved for now :)

Great!!! Good luck with everything. Although for my case, USPS never notified me about delivery, infact no updates in two days, I got financial transactions pending as of this morning towards the Chicago Lockbox. Still keeping my fingers crossed. The overnight declaration from the current administration about withholding immigration process also puts a lot of confusion. Let's see what happens.

We're in the same boat right now too.  Our petition was sent on 4/2 and delivered to the lockbox on 4/7 and it has been CRICKETS.  I've called USCIS twice.  The first time they told me to wait until 4/17 to see if I received anything.  Nothing.  I called again on 4/20 and they gave me the email of the Chicago lockbox support, so I emailed on the same day and still nothing.  They haven't taken the funds out of my account nor have we received any e-Notifications.  I feel so helpless!

We finally heard this morning (via a call to USCIS support) that our AOS package to the Chicago Lockbox had been accepted, and that NOAs had been sent out yesterday.  We received no text messages (and the money is still in our account, although I imagine that it’ll be taken out tonight).

They received it on March 24, just to give some solace or context here.  Took 4 weeks to the day from receipt to NOAs being sent out.

This makes me feel better.  Maybe they're moving slower due to the pandemic.

We received NOA via USPS today. Some relief now. All of that said , one addressed to my husband, that the case is in process. Got my alien number too. I need to figure out what next now.

Glad that you received NOA finally!

Does your NOA say anything about biometrics?

I sent mine in mid-January and received NOAs in mid-March.

But since it was right before the city started quarantine, my appointment(10th Apr) to take biometrics has been cancelled.

I'm still waiting for the new appointment date scheduled though I'd like to know if anybody who recently received NOAs got the appointment date yet.

Also, it may be a little bit different topics but does anybody know if I would be able to get work in my own country through online before I get the work permit?

Or any income is not allowed until I receive the work permit?

(I haven't worked for several months and I need some rehab before starting actual job lol)

Thanks, j00n,

The I-485 NOA says, there will be a another communication for Biometrics with detailed schedule and I must wait for that.

Morning ☺️

My AOS package was delivered on 1st April and I still haven’t heard a thing. My K1/I94 visa expired on 14th April.

UPS posted it to:

USCIS
Attn: FBAS
IL 60603 5517

I have rechecked the address many times 🤣 due to paranoia that it went elsewhere!

I telephoned them yesterday and she searched my A number but couldn’t find anything and said that I need to wait 30 days and then call.
