No offence, but it sounds more like you're trying to convince yourself. 

On a separate note, I am glad that you're not staying home and wasting your right to vote that way. I'd rather you participate in the democratic process and add legitimacy to the outcome, even when I think you're voting against your own interest. That's your choice to make and in the end, no matter the bickering, it is for me to respect.

Sounds like the governor of Illinois was playing politics.  Why not pick up the phone and talk to Pence, or the head of DHS to voice his concerns?  Twitter is such a cesspool.

According to him he couldn't get a hold of the WH and when that's the case and the POTUS is active on Twitter, might as well venture a shot.
